Fettuccine with bacon peas and ricotta

250g Fettuccini

6 rashers bacon chopped

1 Brown Onion Chopped

2 cup frozen peas

400g ricotta

50g butter

1/4 cup olive oil

salt and pepper to taste

Bring a large pot of salted water to the boil add the fettuccini. After 5 mins add the frozen peas. In the meantime heat olive oil in a large  fry pan add bacon and onion stir until both are browned and crispy. Drain the peas and fettuccini when al dente, reserve some of the liquid. Toss the fettuccini into the bacon mixture mix well add the butter combine till melted. crumble over the ricotta and stir if the fettuccini are to dry add some of the reserved liquid. Top with grated parmesan if desired and a little cracked pepper.
